We are now in the process of raising funds for The Dynamite Center. The property has been purchased, but it is a run-down, aging, factory building that requires significant renovation before it is move-in ready. The future site will serve not just CSS, but all the people of Camden. It will include a soundproof studio, a costume room, classrooms, a kitchen, office space, a store full of CSS merchandise and a media room where the kids can do their homework after school. The Dynamite Center will provide a safe haven for the children of Camden and it will also serve the community at large. It will be a lifelong dream come true for Tawanda Jones, and a real blessing to the many kids who will call it home. There are many children in CSS that cannot afford the $245 annual cost of being a member. As the sponsor of a child, you will receive monthly drill team updates, an invitation to our annual banquet, and a special hand written note from the child who receives your sponsorship. Each year a CSS child receives a scholarship in honor of Tawanda’s grandfather, the late Walter (Dynamite) Green Jr. Mr. Green was the first to support CSS when he purchased 80 uniforms and 3 drums to start the drill team. This scholarship is awarded to a member who exemplifies overall academic achievement, citizenship, leadership, team work, and is a well rounded child inside and outside of CSS. The scholarship is intended to be used in support of their future academic endeavors.
